FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Parents, Guardians, and Caregivers:         September 8, 2020

Beginning September 9, 2020, all students attending Jefferson Area Local Schools will receive free breakfast and lunch at school until further notice.

This applies to both students attending in person and those attending online. In addition, the free breakfast and lunch includes children 18 and under in the JALSD community.

In order for this program to be successful we need your help in signing up for meal pick up.  Our staff will be serving meals daily to all students attending classes and pre-packaging the meals to go home.  Please click here to see the detailed instructions for picking up meals.

We still encourage you to submit an application for free/reduced meals, if you have not already done so, due to the fact that students will revert to their prior payment status when government funding for the free meals runs out. Applications can be found on the JALSD website http://www.jalsd.org/district/food-service-department

It is important that we have your household information on file for when the program ends and we continue with our NSLP program

Masks will remain a requirement even if the Governor alters or ends the mandate pending the Board of Education meeting and making changes. (see pg 5 & 18)

Also Added to the plan -

All students will have their temperatures taken at school via Thermal Temperature Screening Kiosks that have been purchased and placed at entrances. - (see page 5)
