Transportation alerts using Remind
The District is using Remind to send transportation alerts. There will be one remind alert for all buses. You will need to know your student's bus number to know which alerts pertain to you.
If you have a smartphone:
On your iPhone or Android phone, open your web browser and go to the following link: rmd.at/falconsbus
Follow the instructions to sign up for Remind. You’ll be prompted to download the mobile app.
If you don’t have a smartphone:
Text the message @falconsbus to the number 81010. If you’re having trouble with 81010, try texting @falconsbus to (484) 241-4261.
* Standard text message rates apply.
JALSD-Plan to Keep Schools Open for In-Person Learning when Transportation is Disrupted.
We have created for keeping our schools open for in-person learning when transportation is disrupted. We anticipate not having enough bus drivers to cover all of our bus routes when a driver is out sick.
With our new plan we are trying to be considerate of the parents who are able to bring their children to school and families who are not. Instead of going remote for the entire district, we will only go remote for specific bus routes that we are not able to cover.
On days when routes are canceled, parents of those students may transport their children to and from school.
Children whose parents are unable to transport them to school will participate in remote learning.
On Sunday evenings, the Superintendent will make a robo-call to inform parents of which bus routes will be canceled for the week. In some situations, we may learn of a bus route cancellation on the morning of a school day, and we will make an additional robo-call.
We will rotate the routes being canceled throughout the district to make sure that no one group of students are left without transportation for an extended period of time.
