Message from the Principal

Jefferson Area Junior High remains committed to our continued work of helping every Falcon reach their full potential. As a school, we are committed to reducing chronic absenteeism by ensuring that every student understands the importance of being present, engaged and ready to learn each day. Regular attendance is one of the strongest predictors of academic success.

Our school remains dedicated to closing the achievement gap by providing meaningful and rigorous learning opportunities, targeted support, high expectations, and a belief that all students can excel when given the tools necessary. Academic excellence will continue to be at the core of everything we do. By providing engaging instruction, innovative and new learning experiences, and a commitment to continuous improvement, we will prepare our students for success both inside and outside of the classroom. 

Our school is built on strong partnerships with families. Open communication, collaboration, and mutual support helps us ensure every student receives the best experience of Junior High.

Finally,we encourage all students to become involved in school beyond the classroom. Whether through athletics, robotics, clubs, music, student council, NJHS, or other activities, participation helps students build confidence, leadership skills, and lasting friendships. Above all, it strengthens our connection amongst one another and within the greater school community!
