The 2026–2027 school year is underway, and we are excited about all that is happening across Jefferson Area Local Schools. Our classrooms, activities, athletic events, and school communities are filled with opportunities for our students to learn, grow, connect, and succeed.
We are proud to begin this school year celebrating an important achievement from last year: JALSD earned a 4.5-star rating on the 2026 Ohio School Report Card for the fourth consecutive year — Exceeds State Standards. This accomplishment reflects the dedication and hard work of our students, teachers, staff, administrators, families, and community. We are grateful to everyone who contributes to the success of our schools each day.
This year, we are also excited to use ParentSquare to strengthen communication across our district. Families can use ParentSquare to receive school and district announcements, classroom communications, event information, and important notifications. We encourage all families to activate their accounts and stay connected throughout the school year.
