Information To Be Aware Of Before Connecting Your Personal Device To The District Network
Staff members who elect to use their staff owned device to connect to the District’s wireless network are encouraged to use it for educational purposes and do so at their own risk. Under no circumstances will the District be liable for any loss of data, breach of security or confidentiality of a staff owned device when using the District’s wireless network. Use of such resources is a privilege, not a right. Staff members must conduct themselves in a responsible, efficient, ethical, and legal manner. Use of the District’s wireless network
The wireless network and resulting data traffic may be monitored and logged. The District may use this information to take steps to determine abuse, misuse, or excessive bandwidth by a user or device. Use of the District’s wireless network is a privilege, not a right, and may be revoked at any time and without prior notice.
Users should have no expectation of privacy when using the District's networks.
Staff members who choose to use their device in the classroom for instructional purposes acknowledge that unanticipated failures of their device or the wireless network should not detract from delivering their classroom instruction or performance of other professional duties.
Under no circumstances will the District be responsible for technical support of a staff owned device. The owner must take full responsibility for setting up and maintaining their personal property. The District will not provide technical support for these devices.
