A Message from Interim Superintendent Jeremy Huber

It is a true honor to address you as the Interim Superintendent of the Jefferson Area Local School District. Having served this community in various capacities over the years, I am incredibly excited to step into this role for the remainder of the school year. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the Board of Education for their confidence in me; I am eager to build upon our shared vision and ensure a strong, successful finish to the academic year for our students and staff.

My journey within the Jefferson schools has been deeply rewarding, and I believe my experiences as Assistant High School Principal, High School Principal, and Student Success Coordinator have uniquely prepared me for this transition. These roles provided me with a comprehensive view of our district's operations—from the intricacies of daily building management to the vital work of supporting individual student pathways. I plan to leverage this background to provide stable, energetic leadership during this interim period.

Our Commitment to Excellence

I am particularly looking forward to continuing the hands-on work I’ve been doing in classrooms across the district. My priority remains assisting our talented teachers as they prepare our students for both academic achievement and social success. By maintaining a presence in our schools, I can better support the innovative instruction and mentorship that happens in Jefferson every day.

Together, we will continue to elevate our district’s growth and reputation. My goal is to ensure we maintain our stature as the number one school district in Ashtabula County, fostering an environment where every student has the tools to excel. I look forward to working alongside our families and community members to keep Jefferson moving forward.
